Concrete Production

Les Excavations Marchand & fils has had the technical know-how to manufacture concrete for the past 15 years.

We have undertaken large-scale projects in Quebec, such as concreting hydroelectric power plants. Our technical team has the expertise needed to adapt the composition of concrete to the specific project at hand, regardless of the scope of the project.

In addition to this technical prowess, our priority is to offer top performing products that meet the highest standards in the industry. To achieve this, EMF uses highly advanced equipment, including:

  • 2 Liebherr Mobilmix 2.25 mobile mixing plants
    • Theoretical discharge output in hardened concrete [m³/h]100
    • Maximum aggregate storage volumes [m³]140
    • Maximum number of aggregate chambers4
  • 1 Liebherr Mobilmix 0.5 mobile mixing plant
    • Theoretical discharge output in hardened concrete [m³/h]30
    • Maximum aggregate storage volumes [m³]16
    • Maximum number of aggregate chambers4
  • 1 dry-batch concrete plant
    • Theoretical discharge output in hardened concrete [m³/h]100
    • Maximum aggregate storage volumes [m³]140
    • Maximum number of aggregate chambers4

These mobile units deliver products to a standard comparable to that of stationary plants. The mixing plant can be transported in a few transport units and set up in a day or two. These plants are containerized and mounted on steel frames that serve as foundations.

EMF also has ice plants and water chillers to cool mass concrete mixtures generally used in hydroelectric power plants.

Large clients rely on us for our range of concrete products:

  • Concrete production
  • Production asphalt concrete
  • Installation of asphalt concrete
  • Ready mix concrete
  • Mass concrete
  • High performance concrete
  • Shotcrete
  • Roller-compacted concrete
  • Self-placing concrete
  • Mass concrete requiring ice
